Level III Tavor/Carbine Operator Course – 2 Day

DETAILS:

This course is designed to challenge the student to apply fundamentals in a variety of less than ideal shooting scenarios.  After a brief review of the previous courses, students will work on tasks not frequently addressed in other training courses, particularly in regards to the Tavor system. Your instruction will be conducted by members of the law enforcement and special operations community. This course will include a night shoot on the first day, and shoot house on the second day.

*This course will require physical activity to include running and rapid assumption of positions.  Please disclose any medical conditions which may preclude your participation from certain events. Students must show proficiency and safe weapons management to participate in all aspects of the course.

Core topics that will be covered include:

  • Confirmation of zero
  • Review of basic manipulations
  • Unusual shooting positions/braced firing positions
  • Movement from cover to cover
  • Shooting from the primary and support side
  • Low light shooting/use of white light with cover
  • One handed shooting
  • Reloads and malfunction clearances with one hand
  • Shooting from and around a vehicle
  • Individual movement through a structure
  • Qualification
  • Long range engagements from multiple supported positions

Prerequisites:

  • Level I Tavor Operator Course
  • Level II Tavor Operator Course

Firearms Requirements:

  • Tavor SAR or X95 with sling
  • Weapon Mounted Light
  • 5 – serviceable 30 round magazines
  • Rifle magazine carrier that accommodates a minimum of 2 spare magazines
  • 9mm caliber or greater serviceable pistol
  • 3 – serviceable pistol magazines (5 – 8 for single stack autos)
  • Pistol Holster (NO SERPA HOLSTERS) and magazine carrier that accommodates 2 spare magazines.

If you do not have an X95 or SAR just let us know during registration and one will be provided for you free of charge.


Ammunition Requirements:

  • 600 Rounds (500 minimum) of X95 compatible ammo (5.56, .223, 9mm, or 300 Blackout)
    * No M855 Greentip
  • 200 Rounds of pistol ammunition

What does the cost of registration cover?

Cost will cover the course only. The student is responsible for costs associated with travel, lodging, meals (unless otherwise indicated), firearms (unless a loaner is requested), ammunition, and personal gear.

Do I need a background check to attend training?

Yes, unless you have a current state issued concealed carry permit.

*If so, then you will need to upload a copy of your permit and driver’s license during registration in lieu of a background check.

I don’t have a concealed carry permit. How do I obtain a background check?

Sentry Link offers a National Criminal Background Check for a fee of $19.95 per report.

Once the report is obtained send the report to training@iwi.us to have it included with your registration packet. You can send the report via the “Share” button.

How do I pay for the course?

During the registration process, you will be asked to enter your payment information or voucher code in order to pay for the course. This payment is required to hold your place in the course due to class limits and the management of student / instructor ratios. Cost covers the course only (unless otherwise indicated). Students are responsible for costs associated with travel, lodging, meals, firearms (unless a loaner is requested), ammunition, and personal gear.

Refund/Reschedule Policy:

  • Cancellations: If you cancel no later than 30 days prior to the start of your course, your payment can be applied to a future course for up to one year. If you cancel within 30 days of your course start date, your payment is non-refundable. However, that balance may be applied to another course within one year.
  • Refunds: You can receive a full refund up to 30 days prior to the start of your course. Any amount over $250 is fully transferable or refundable if you cannot make the class for any reason, with or without notice.
  • Reschedule: You can reschedule up to 2 times without penalty. After that you are no longer eligible to transfer your payment to a future course and forfeit your refund.
